Website design for contractors, maintenance included.
I build websites for trade businesses and keep them running after launch, on one monthly plan that stays with the business if you ever sell.
Book a 30 minute callThe call is free, and I work out what you need before anyone quotes a number.
Most trade websites get built once and never touched again.
I see it all the time: the site went up in 2014 and nobody remembers the login.
Nobody services it because nobody was ever asked to. The guy who built it moved on, and everyone is afraid that updating it will break something, and they're probably right.
I do it differently, because every site I build comes with someone whose job is to keep it working.
Sometimes you don't need a new website.
Some of the shops that call me about a website don't need one.
The phone is quiet, so a new website looks like the answer, but sometimes it isn't. The Google Business Profile is half filled in and the newest review is from 2021, but the site itself is fine. A new website fixes neither of those, and it's the most expensive fix.
The strategy ranks what's wrong, and if a rebuild isn't near the top, it says so. If it is, you're buying it knowing why.
What gets built.
You get a site that loads fast on a phone, because that's where most of your customers are looking.
Every service you sell and every location you work in gets its own page, so people searching for those things find you. Your phone number goes where a thumb can reach it, and the technical work underneath is done properly so Google takes the site seriously.
Instead of stock photos of somebody else's crew, I use real photos of your trucks and your work, and if you don't have any, I'll tell you what to go shoot.
What it costs.
It's quoted on the call, because a two-truck plumbing outfit and a fifteen-crew landscaping company are not the same build.
The number is fixed before anything starts, and it doesn't change halfway through.
It comes with a maintenance plan.
Every website I build has a monthly plan attached from day one.
The plan covers the updates and the small changes you phone in, and there's a person on the other end of the phone when you need one. Your contract spells out the detail, and what website maintenance costs covers what plans like it charge.
Monthly SEO is a separate thing on a separate bill: the maintenance plan keeps the site working, and monthly SEO is the work that gets you found. Some owners take both and some take one.
If you ever sell, the plan transfers with the business and the buyer gets the website with the same person behind it. It's a normal monthly cost, so it's already in your books when a buyer reads them.
Common questions.
Do I need a new website?
Not always. Some shops that call about a website need the Google Business Profile and the reviews fixed instead. If the site is fine, I say so.
What's in the maintenance plan?
It covers the updates and the small changes you phone in, and your contract has the detail. Monthly SEO is on a separate bill.
What does a website cost?
It's quoted on the call, because a two-truck outfit and a fifteen-crew company are not the same build. The number is fixed before anything starts.
Can I keep my domain name and email?
Yes. Your domain name stays yours and your email does not change.
What happens to the website if I sell the business?
It goes with the business, and so does the plan that keeps it working. The buyer gets the same person behind it.
Will it work on a phone?
That is the first thing I build for, because that is where most of your customers are looking.
Find out what you need before you build.
